Campaign 2021 kicks off! Centraide invites you to Show Your Local Love to support its network of community agencies and the remarkable work that they do every day of the year—and especially since the start of the health crisis—to help people in Greater Montreal who are living in poverty or vulnerability.
Eighteen months later, the pandemic is still impacting everyone and has left deep marks: inequality has increased, and many of our fellow citizens find themselves in extremely difficult situations. Needs for food aid persist, families continue to experience high levels of anxiety and worry, the rate of homelessness has doubled, young people have fallen behind in their schooling, and women and immigrant families have been left particularly vulnerable.
The donations raised during this annual campaign will reinforce actions in food security, housing, academic support, the inclusion of isolated and marginalized people, and other areas. Every donation raised will continue to be carefully invested where needs are greatest and according to each neighbourhood’s issues and challenges.
A few words
A few words from our President and Executive Director, Claude Pinard, and the co-chairs of the 2021 campaign,
Maria Della Posta, President, Pratt & Whitney Canada, and Darryl White, CEO, BMO Financial Group.
A whole team of contributors
The Centraide campaign raises not only donations but also awareness about the social issues in our territory. More than 20,000 people will step up to take on this great challenge and become the driving force behind our annual campaign. Their commitment, loyalty, creativity and ingenuity to get people involved both virtually and in person will help us make this campaign the best it can be.

A call for massive action
While the general public is asked to contribute to the campaign,
1,000 workplaces will also take action in the coming months to raise donations for Centraide. Year after year, employees take pride in taking up the call to help agencies that share their values and build meaningful ties with the community. The Centraide campaign rallies everyone around an important social cause that strengthens our bonds and lets us make human connections, something especially important during a time when our social contacts have been limited.

This remarkable work must continue
In 2020, so many people joined together in a great outpouring of generosity.
Centraide made unprecedented investments in the Greater Montreal community to support agencies on the front lines of the health crisis. These agencies have done tremendous work on the ground, but needs remain and they need our support to keep going.
